The Government of Saudi Arabia encourages the development of the private sector in order to reduce the dependence of the national economy on oil exports and to provide more employment opportunities for the fast-growing population. Saudi Arabia also uses large numbers of foreign workers. Economic development focuses on industry, petroleum and petrochemical industry is the lifeblood of the national economy, is the main source of income. But its restrictions on femininity make it the only country in the world that does not allow women to drive vehicles.
